How do I Flirt with White Girls?

I am a pakistani 17 year old college student, i have different taste to other asian or black guys, i tend to fancy the white girls, but i am really afraid to go up and speak to them, i am afraid that they might be racist towards me or judge me on their looks. I've never fancyed the asian or black girls, i always like the whites.

1) How can i speak to a girl who i fancy.
2) How can i build my confidence up.

I have to believe in the year 2003 that very few people are obsessed with race any more. I know whites that date blacks, blacks that date Chinese, Chinese that date Hispanics, you name it. What matters is what a person is like inside, not what their parents caused their skin to look like.
