something i've been wondering about, when i'm talking to this girl i like she's all ways saying things like shes not smart when i know she is, or that she's ugly, but she's clearly not. just wondering what up? does she have personal issues or is this something shes doing because of me? and it's realy putting up a conversation road block any advice?

She seems to lack a good sense of self esteem and wants you to compliment her.
To make her happy, tell her she is very intelligent (or laugh at her jokes and say "that's a good idea" when she says something.) Also compliment her hair, the way she dresses, her smile, her figure and tell her she is beautiful.
If she downplays what you say or negates it then tell her you really think it is true and you wouldn't say it if it was a lie.
