my boyfriend broke up with me just a few nights ago. he was very upset. crying over the phone and saying how he didn't want to do this, but that i deserved someone who could give me more time. his job scheduel has recently gotten out of control. i hadn't seen him for a week and a half by the time he broke up with me. he says it's not fair that i should wait for his job to settle back down.
this isn't what i want. i don't want him to break up with me. i still want to be with him. i've tried to get him to talk to me, but he won't. he says he doesn't want to listen to me repeating myself about not giving up. that things won't get better.
any online sights he visits, still says we're dating, and he still has my picture up. i'm just confused at this point, and wondering if i should keep trying to talk to him.

He is obviously under a lot of stress and not thinking clearly.
Let him know you will wait for him and then give him his space. Eventually, he will become his old self again and come looking for you.
Meanwhile, just in case things don't work out... start looking at other guys.
