I dont know how to get her back

ok here it is - i was with this girl for like 8 months (best freinds before that) and i thought we were really in love (i know i loved her and she said she loved me) but then we didnt see eachother all summer and when school started again she told me it was over and she didnt love me anymore and she said she didnt know why. i have no idea what to do coz i love her so much but i cant talk to her about it coz 1 - she just goes really weird if i try to raise the question of 'us' and 2- coz it makes all our freinds around us really uncomfortable. PLEASE help me i am desperate - any suggestions will be appreciated. thanks.

The odds are good that she found someone else during the summer--even if it was a brief relationship. Naturally she doesn't want to talk about it if it happened.
Gently bring this up as a possibility and tell her you forgive her (if you do).
If it is not true, then you have an uphill road to travel. You may just have to forget her. Of course, you could try the traditional flowers, candy, and dinner out and see if that works.
