Do you think there is any hope?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
I was going out with my bf 4 about 4 months & he was & is my 1st love. He was all ovr me to begin with pushin the relationship 4ward.
Everythin was great for the first 3 months. However his job demanded for him to go abroad for short periods of time this year. I went into the relationship knowin this & prepared myself for it. He's very insecure as well as his ex broke his heart & messed with his head. Anyway he broke up with me 5 weeks ago after being really off & weird with me for about a month, & never really gave me a full explanation other than "i think i want to be single for a bit i'm so confused" so i asked him honestly is there some1else? and he said no, i dont think im ready for a relationship. Even tho when he asked me out i asked him if he was sure he was ready?
he wants to stay m8s with me & said he might want 2 get back with me. a few days after he dumped me he rang 2 c how i was & said hed take me out on his new bike. whats he playing at? i want 2 get back with him, do i jst play it cool? It's been 4 weeks since that call and i havent seen him, but i have heard from him. I invited him to a party and he seemed excited about comming but said he may be a little busy. He never came or even told me that he wasn't going to come. I really miss him like crazy, it's his birthday soon, i want to say say happy birthday and ask him out for a drink. Do you think this is wise?

It sounds like it is over for a while.

Despite that, my advice is to call him and ask him out for a drink.

Who knows?

Good luck! George
