ok here goes.

My man looks at other women I've already asked him why and he says he doesn't know.

Also I asked him that if he was introduced through a friend and their friend was a woman would he take her number and call her. He said he would accept her number to be polite but not call her.

These issues have given me great concern not to trust my partner, how do I deal with this as this is eating away at me.

Men look at women but they should be discreet about it. Ask him to not be so obvious when he looks. You will still notice but not so strongly.

Regarding the phone number, his answer sounds perfectly sensible and polite. My advice is to hang onto this guy and work on reducing your jealousy.
