What does she think of me?
Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male There is a girl I really like in the other class in my same grade. I am the new kid at this school, but I am alredy accepted as a friend to many people. She broke up with one of my friends over the summer. He said it was because he was obsessing over their rlationship. Anyway, I know she likes my singing voice, but I am practically the only guy in the school who can't let go of his inhibitions, or tell a joke or ask someone out. This may be why she pays more attention to other guys than she does to me. When she's talking to me I think the smile fades from her face, but I may be imagining it. I think it's because I don't always smile. She compliments me on my singing voice, and sometimes says hi, but I'm not sure how to break the ice with her. Should I get over her, (I could if I wanted to, I'm pretty good at that) or try to ask her out?
RomanceClass.com Advice Start getting closer to her gradually.
To do this, whenever you see her in the hall, look her right in the eyes, say in a clear voice "Hi" plus her name, and give her a big smile.
Smiling is very important. Practice it in front of a mirror if you have to.
Once you are comfortable saying hi and smiling then it will be time to ask her out.
Good luck! George
