he's so hard to read

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
ok, so i'm 14 and i just finished eigth grade. i've been liking this certain guy (of the same age) for over two years now and i still don't know what to do.

first, let me describe him: he is a very intelligent person, i mean in a philosophical sort of sense. he is also very charming and diplomatic, if you will. the problem is that he's very hard to read. he isn't like most guys who are attracted to flirting.

it's not like i haven't taken any initiative. i've asked him out before. we had a sadie hawkins dance at our school and i asked him to it and he accepted. when we went there was a slow dance and we danced very close and it seemed like he enjoyed it, but like i said, he's hard to read but after the dance he didn't really talk to me. i've called him a few times, but we never found much to talk about. but he's been sending me mixed signals. like the fact that he accepted my invitation to the dance, and i've caught him staring at me several times, and we are friends and he's very talkative, but he never talks to me. in seventh grade we had to read a play for drama class and we did a scene where he and i were two lovers and i was teaching him how to dance, well we were supposed to dance and stuff, but our teacher made a huge joke out of it and said we didn't have to so we didn't, although he kept looking like he wanted to. as i said, he's very hard to read, and i don't know if i'm even reading him correctly because usually i'm a pretty good judge of people.

The problem is that i'm going to a new school next year in a different state and so it's likely that i'll never see him again. What should i do????

Thank-you
~AT WITS END

RomanceClass.com Advice
You might as well enjoy the little time you have left.

Ask him out for a walk, movies, bowling, or just hanging out.

Summers can be boring so he will probably be delighted to have someone he can spend time with.

Good luck! George
