okay what now?

i'm 14 and i have this friend that i have known since kindergarten that i have feelings for. We always used to be real open about how we felt but now he moved to a different town so we don't see each other. We talk on the phone once in a while but thats it. I called him two weeks ago and he wasnt there so his mom said she'd tell him to call me back but he never did. So i called him again. He said it was weird talking to someone he doesnt see that often. A week later i called him again and he barely said anything and when he did talk all he said was "i don't know". I've been wanting to ask him out for a while but i don't know if he likes me anymore or maybe he has a girlfriend. Any advice?

Yes, unfortunately my advice is to dump him.

He is too far away and appears to be disinterested in pursuing a relationship with you.

You will be much happier finding someone nearby to be special friends with.
