I want more than friends

Hi, I've written to you some time ago, about a girl which I like.
Me and this girl are best friends, she once knew that I liked her and started ignoring me, but then things got better and now she says that I'm her best male friend.
The problem is that I want more than a friendship, I love her and I want to be with her, but since some time ago, i've became unable to become closer of her... we alredy kiss on the cheek and she says that she adores me, and I say that too, but I can't get closer than we are... I want to become physically closer, for example to hug her.
She recently commented my hi5, and thanked me for various things, like making her smile... I know she doesn't likes me as more than a friend, but do you think I have any chance? I don't want to ruin our friendship by trying to get closer, it would kill me to lose her again.
What should I do about the hugs?

Do what I suggested last time you wrote...

Talk with her and tell her that you want to hug her hello and goodby but you are afraid she will be upset if you try to.

She is your best friend, she will understand.
