I want her back
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
3 days ago my long distance girlfriend of 1 year and 3 months dumped me. I thought we were fine, but she said that we havent been for a while, she just didnt tell me, but she has been the one who contacted me, she has rang me, she planned to stay over for new year. She said she had met someone else, but later admitted that was a lie. She then said I have changed and Im not what she wants anymore, but her whole family agree that she has been acting differently lately.
What started it was when I got home I rang her house, just for a chat, but she was at a friends, so i rang her mobile. She answered and said she was busy and can she call back later. i said that was fine. She rang me back later and dumped me. She said she wants to speak to me a week from yesterday, because we were going to a gig and to swap xmas presents (which were still gonna do) but she isnt going to the gig with us anymore she said. She also said that is I try to contact her before then, i'll just make things worse.
I have ben advised by her family to give her time to think. I rang her mam up and old her the whole story the day after and I planned to go there before she gets home from work and suprise her, but that night her mam had a go at her and she then rang me and was really upset and she said i've hurt her more that I ever have.
Im afraid that she hates me.
I have to wait a week to talk to her, but I just wish she'd believe me that i'll do anything for her and I just want her back. Im afraid that after next week, thats it. forever. I just cant live with that.
Im afraid that waiting a week wont make any difference. I dont know what to do. I still love her as much as I did a week ago. She thinks i was only ever interested in sex, but thats not true. i love her more that anything else in the world and I'll do anything for her.
Im sorry to make this so long, but i wanted to get all the details in.
I don't think she hates you.
She is trying to figure out how she feels and needs time and space to do it. You are only hurting your chances by rushing things.
Wait for the week to be over and then tell her what you have been thinking about. Be calm and let her know you still love her. Ask her to give you another chance. If she won't do that, ask if you can be friends. Being friends is a good way to stay in contact and she may come back to you.
Thank her for being such a sweet love and that you respect her decisions.
Good luck! George
