What can I do to get my mom to let my ex and me go back out?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
I really love my boyfriend. I have broken up with him a few times before. Then, after the last time i told him i really missed him and i want to be his girlfriend again. I realize that i have made a hug mistake. I should have never broken up with him in the first place. After i told him i wanted to go out with him again he said ok. Then, i found out a few weeks later that he had been kind of with my best friend. He had been telling me he loved me and telling her the same thing. They had only talked on the phone and texted and i hadn't told my parents that i wanted to date him again either.. but anyways now we both really want to be together. I forgive him for what he did because i love him and i've screwed things up with us in the past (like breaking up with him a several times). We really love eachother. My mom knows that my now ex best friend and him liked eachother and she thinks i'll just break up with him again. But, i seriously know i won't. I keep talking to her, but she keeps saying "no". We have kind of been sneaking around to see eachother and i hate it because i wish we could just see eachother all the time with our parents knowing. My mom also thinks that him and i are too emotional because shes seen on texts and stuff that i say i love him and he says it too. Practically every teen i know who has a gf/bf tells eachother they love one another. But yea..I seriously really want to be able to date him. He said we are boyfriend and girlfriend now and that i jsut need to keep talking to my mom. but talking to her doesnt seem to work. How can i change her mind so she lets me date him again?

Ask your mother what changes you could make that would show that you would be a good couple with your b/f.

If she just says "No" then you have no choice but to see him behind her back and suffer the consequences if she finds out.

Good luck! George
