My girlfriend asked me something

A few days ago, my girlfriend asked me how would I feel of she went on a date with another guy. I said that I don't know, and if she wants to, go ahead, it's her life, her choices. Now I'm not sure if she's just testing me to see me jealous or she's really intended to do so. Also, I'm not sure if I answered her question properly. Could I've answered better? Any advice?
