she doesnt look at me and is shy around me only

ok so theres this girl that likes me. weve gone to the movies with a common friend a couple of times before, i see her in school all the time, and i try my best to talk to her as much as i can, but when i do, she doesnt look at me a whole lot, she just kinda looks ahead most of the time, when she does look me in the face its only for a half-second. ive never seen her act that way around any of her other friends, but shes shy around me. i need to know what should i do.

You'd be doing her a favor if you gently told her.

It is probably shyness as you say, so don't expect her to change her behavior right away. So remind her from time to time or even "peek around" and make your eyes look into hers.

She should get the message. This will help her in later life.
