How Do I Get Him Back?

I traveled one summer with someone, and while we spent most of the trip just hooking up when we returned we started talking on the telephone and realized there was an actual connection. He and I, at least I hope, fell in love, but the relationship was never more than long distance and we interracted only on the phone. It has been going on on and off for two years, the first year more on than off, and this past year more off than on. I know long distance relationships are difficult but they nust mean that the relationship itself is stronger as he and have to care about each others most inner self as distractions like sex and other people don't apply. Recently we have been talking less and summer is coming, the one time during the year when we can see each other and be together. How do I get him back when he's been seeing someone else, when she is geographically more desirable than I. What do I say to him, and how do i get him back

Or invite him to visit you. Too often a long-distance romance fails because of the things you mentioned.
