Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I met a girl a few weeks ago at a restaurant and got her phone number. She is one of those text message addicts and sent me something a couple of days later just saying she was done with her finals. I am not a fan of texting but will sometimes carry on a conversation with her for an hour just joking around or making fun of eachother. She goes out of her way to contact me this way allll the time. I have met her at the resteraunt each Sunday since the day we met for a couple of drinks (she works there but finishes up at 5 so I meet her there afterward). When I am there I noticed she doesn't get messages from anyone so I know it is not that she talks to everyone like this. We were supposed to meet out the other night too but it didn't happen. I talked to her on the phone a few times that night but we were too far away from eachother. We are both very sarcastic with eachother. Sometimes I joke around and say sexual things in the messages and she'll joke back saying something like, "haha, keep dreaming!" She is really outspoken. She told me she hasn't had a serious relationship in two years but has been "hooking up" with this guy for over a year. She doesn't think they would ever get serious. After I left the bar the last time, she tried to get me to come back out with her. One strange thing also is that she has met one of my roomates before too. His name came up and she mentioned that she though he was "very cute." He hasn't spoken more than a few words to her. I feel like she is attracted to me though. Would she spend so much time otherwise?

You better strike while the iron is hot. Try to increase the closeness of your relationship by sharing important feelings with her.
Using the phone is a better way of communicating compared to texting.
