I love him but not his hair!

Okay, so I started going out with this guy and I really, really like him. He's so sweet and he's so cute. I had a crush on him for awhile. But, he has a mullet. I want him to cut it because I know he would be soooo handsome with out it. I've seen pictures of him from before he had it. Here's the thing...we have only been going out for about two and a half weeks. I don't want to sound mean and give him the impression that I do not like him, I just want my boy to lose the locks! I was wondering how I could suggest to him to cut his hair in a kind way with out hurting his feelings? Please help! I wouldn't break up with him if he didn't cut it, but he would be 10 times the gorgeous he is now if he did. Thanks in advance!
