Samson & Dalila

Often called ´Sampson and Delilah´, Sampson had enormous strength and was fated to save the Israelites from the Palestinians. After a long series of conflicts between Sampson and the Palestinians, he fell in love with Dalila from Sorec. Dalila was bribed by the Palestinians to figure out why Sampson was so strong, and she agrees. She tries three times, and each time he tricks her, but finally he admits it´s because of his long hair. She of course promptly cuts it off, and now weak, he´s at the mercy of the Palestinians.

The ´woman takes advantage of a man and turns him into a weakling´ is usually the line followed with this couple - that a once-strong husband is being brow-beaten into doing whatever his wife tells him to do.
