RomanceClass.com Advice
It sounds like your guy is feeling betrayed, and on one hand he's right. If you guys were still dating, you shouldn't have *let* this other guy near you like that! So now you've publicly humiliated your boyfriend and shown him disrespect. Which is really, really not good.

I would definitely call him and apologize. If nothing else, he was your friend and trusted you, and he deserves to be treated with respect. Say that you made a mistake, that you're sorry, that you do care for him.

As far as the relationship goes, if you guys really know each other that well and can talk to each other well, I would make more of an effort to save things!! Yes, the spark is probably gone. It ALWAYS FADES. That is part of a relationship maturing. It turns more into best friends and less into lusty lovers. That's normal!! And that's when you know your love is BETTER than just a pretty face or wanting to touch - that it is about two people who really care for each other. Most people search years and years for that sort of a relationship. Don't just throw it away because it's no longer "thrilling"!

On the other hand, a relationship should NOT be about fighting. Fighting may seem like a cool movie plot, but movies are about relationships with *problems* because they make more interesting stories. A *healthy* relationship doesn't involve fighting. It involves people talking together and sharing ideas. And if the ideas don't agree with each other, the couple talks about it and finds a solution. If you guys are fighting, why aren't you talking about those issues instead of fighting? You should be able to talk things through. If one of you gets upset, take a time out. That is an EXTREMELY important thing to learn how to do.
