We're Engaged - We Fight Constantly

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
My boyfriend and I have been going out for about 8 months now, I am pregnant and we are engaged to be married, except we fight constantly. I'm not sure that I really want to be with him but I feel sort of obligated to marrying him. It also feels like he doesn't really want to be around me a lot of times.

I dont know how to handle this and make it a happier relationship..what should I do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
You are never obligated to marry anybody. The whole point of marriage is that you voluntarily choose to be with someone for your entire life because you are truly happy with them. Forever is a LONG long time. Lots of women raise kids on their own - most end up meeting another guy to marry who is wonderful for them.

If you guys argue all the time, then it is not a good idea to get married and make things worse. Tell him that you want to take a break and to resolve the fighting issues. Talk to your family and friends and build a safety net for yourself. It is far better to raise this child in a happy home by yourself than to raise the kid in an abusive home with yelling and screaming.
