And I really like him but I wonder if he only like what he see's not whats inside....how can I tell? And sometimes when I'm with him he'll kind of push to have sex but I tell him no and he leaves it at that, is that good or bad?

You have doubts about how he will feel about you, you have doubts about whether he respects you for more than your body, and you worry about him pushing you for sex.
None of these make for a good first sexual experience.
If you are close enough to have sex, then you should be close enough to talk about your feelings with him. If you can't have meaningful, long, conversations with him then you are not ready for sex.
