ok well in my last topic i needed help on an idea for a birthday present for a girl i like. and i ended up giving her a cd i made, a gift card, and her favorite candy. at first i thought she liked me because she asked for my number and stuff and we talked a lot. so she invited me to her birthday party and then i got pretty excited. btw we are both 16. so i was really looking foward to this party. i thought it would be reletively small, 20-30 people, and i thought ide get some time to talk with her, but of course, things went totally unexpected and there was like over 100 people there. and since she its her party, she had to entertain everybody. so everytime i went to talk with her, she would get distracted by somebody else before i could finish speaking. so that part was a major bust, but i did dance with her a few times. and that seemed to go pretty well. but another thing that went wrong, was that she didn't open her presents that night, and i realized that i forgot to put who the present was from, so i got worried that she wouldn't know i gave it to her. so i went home pretty disapointed, and i kinda lost hope that she liked me. so i was bummed. then this morning,(this party was last night btw) she texted me and asked me if i gave her the country cd. i said yes, and then she sent me a text that cheered me up, but i have no idea what to think of it. here is what the text said word for word.

"Omgeee i thought so =] it is soooo cute =] i love all of them! (shes refering to the songs on the cd) and the giftcard i love... we should go shopping together sometime =] that would be funn... well for me haha but thanks again love =] its soo adorable and you remembered my favorite candy =] so cute!!! haha"

idk if she's just being nice or what, i kinda think she likes me since she said we should go shopping. but idk i wanna get other people's opinions before i do anything dumb. so please tell me what you think and what i should do.

With over 100 people at the party and out of all the presents she must have gotten you must have made a connection in her mind because she thought the present was from you. She sounds excited and noticed how much thought you put into the gift.

I'd say the next step is to go shopping and see how things develope.

oh and another thing, what should i do next? should i ask her to go shopping next weekend or should i wait? or should i wait till she invites me shopping? i don't know what to do

I think you should go ahead and ask her to go shopping or something next weekend. Afterall she dropped the first hint and said you should go sometime. If she didn't mean it then I doubt she would have suggested it ya know?
