I am 29 dating a 38 year old airforce man

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I am 29 dating a 38 year old airforce man. We've been dating for 2.5 months now, and he just recently started 2-3 week missions over seas, and he's gone now more than he is here. And it is very difficult for me when he is gone, he is use to this life style, but its all very new to me. I become very insecure when he's away that he may end things when he gets back, and I am very lonely. I hear from him a couple of time while he is gone if I'm lucky. And when he comes back he is distant for a few days. What advice can you give for this transition that we are in to ensure a lasting solid relationship?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Hopefully this distance problem won't be long term.

Can you write him an email every day which he will receive overseas? That would give you an outlet for your emotions, and give him some happy thoughts to keep him going.

Sounds like you are going to have to tough it out for as long as it takes. Be thankful he isn't deployed for a whole year at a time. This is more the norm for the military.

Good luck! George
