I am a very shy person and lack confidence

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
Well, this is how it goes. I have join a new school and this girl caught my eye. Now mind you I am a very shy person and lack confidence. She calls me her "husband" but I dont know if she trully likes me. She recently broke something and I wanted to call her but I couldnt because of shyness. I really want to get close to this person but I dont know how and my shyness is blocking it.

RomanceClass.com Advice
Most people are shy at points in their life.

You have to get over your shyness. It is very important for your development as a person. Can you imagine yourself at 30 or 40 still being as shy as you are now? Of course not!

The reason is that you will take chances as time goes on and you will discover that things work out. So why not cut out 10 years of shyness right now by working hard, and it is hard work, to get over the shyness.

One way to do this is to say hi to everyone you see at school. Start with the ones that you know their names. When you pass them in the hall, look them in the eyes, say in a clear voice "Hi" plus their name and give them a big smile.

You will find that almost all of them will say hi back to you and become more friendly with you. You will develop self confidence by doing this.

Start trying to break your shyness with this girl. All it takes is guts and courage. You're not a coward so get to it.

Good luck! George
