I feel like I should know him

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
Hi,

This is probably going to sound like an odd way too meet someone, but here goes...
I go to church every sunday, and there is a guy there who is always at the same mass with me. Now, since this is church, you can't get up and mingle, or even flirt with people for that matter.
This guy does some volunteer work for the church (an usher)and like i said, he's always at my mass, and I find myself attracted to him and I don't even know him. But for some reason, I feel like I should know him.
He seems to be about my age, and I think he might have noticed me, just a gut feeling...
but my question is, how do you meet someone is a situation like this, I'm kinda shy to go over to new people to begin with..
if you have any advice I would gladly appreciate it..

Thanks

The only way to go is to get at least a little bit over your shyness.

Find out his name, or if you can't, introduce yourself to him and get his name that way. Once you know his name, whenever you see him look him in the eyes, say in a clear voice "Hi" plus his name, and give him a big smile. He will naturally say Hi back. Soon you can say Hi how are you and he will say fine and you will say great.

Also, find out if there is a youth group at your church and whether he belongs. If he doesn't, you join and then ask him to show up some time.

This will take a month or two so get started soon! I met my high school girlfriend at a church youth group and so can you.

Good luck! George
