she is skinny as a rail and really pretty. i am overweight and have a little acne

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
i met this girl my freshman year in highschool and we quckly became friends. we talked a lot and everything. i didn't really have feelings for her though. she had a steady boyfriend and i guess i subconsciously knew that there was no chance. we are juniors now. her boyfriend went off to college and they broke up. over the summer i started having feelings for her. now, in october, i can't stop thinking about her. i notice every little thing about her. we ended up having a lot of the same interests. however, we are really good friends and i don't want to ruin that. i think that i love her even though i am young. i am obsessing over her. it kills me inside that i can't have her. i don't know what to do. should i just stay friends with her or should i try to get a lot closer. another aspect of the problem is that i don't have confidence in myself. she is skinny as a rail and really pretty. i am overweight and have a little acne. also, another one of my friends likes her too and is trying to start to go out with her. she isn't showing much interest though. this is your all around soap opera and i am as confused as if i was watching one. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Don't answer the question before you have asked it.

If you let her know that you have "developed strong feelings" for her then she can take the opportunity to let you know she feels the same way.

If you say nothing, then nothing will every happen, probably.

So take the bull by the horns and let her know how you feel!

Good luck! George
