This old guy has spent thousands of dollars on my boyfriend's tattoos

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
My boyfriend is 23 and he has an older guy friend who is probably in his 60s. This old guy has spent thousands of dollars on my boyfriend's tattoos, he had paid for his glasses, his car insurance, to get his car fixed, and so many more. I never felt comfortable about my boryfriend hanging out with this old guy. For some reason I get so sick to my stomach. This old guy seems to only come over to our house when I'm at work. I have brought up this issue to my boyfriend and he gets so offended when I tell him how I feel about the whole situation. He tells me that he is like a father figure to him and that he is helping "us." When I know that none of the things this old guy does for him affects me in any way. Is this a jealousy problem? How else can I approach my boyfriend about it without upsetting him at all? Or am I just over reacting?

RomanceClass.com Advice
You have cause for some worry, but maybe you should wait before getting more upset.

So far, nothing has happened other than the old guy spending money and paying attention to your b/f. That is quite likely as far as it will ever go.

So why not take advantage of his generosity which is helping both you and your b/f?

If things get worse, you can take action then.

Good luck!
George
