I just want her to know I still love her

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
well i broke up with my g/f 4 months ago but I have been sort of bothering her with emails and text messages and she said that Im not respecting her wishes. Well its tough b/c we went out for 4 years and I love this girl with all my heart...
Does space really help a situation like this ? She doesnt want contact for awhile. I dont want to not hear her voice for months or not let her know I still care. Is text messaging her once a month to say "hello" and " I hope everything is going well " and " I am thinking of you" too overbearing ? I just want her to know I still love her but I understand I have no other option but to let her go for now. Do you believe in the saying "you truly dont know what you had until its gone ? and if so can it take months of separation to realize that ? Or does it not apply after a certaing amount of days or weeks ?
I would be interested to hear what you have to say..Thanks

RomanceClass.com Advice
It is ok to contact every month or so to say "how are you doing."

She is in control of the situation and if she is determined to break up then there's nothing much you can do about it.

She would have realized by now if she missed you, but stranger things have happened so give up all hope.

But, for now you should hang loose and give her the space she needs. You should also look for new girlfriends to take that sad pressure off yourself.

Hope things work out for you!
