Dating my Ex

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
I like this boy, and he likes me. We have gone out before, but after two years there are still feelings and love. We have had sex shared fears, desires, romance, we talk, everything that lovers would do. We broke up. So now we are stuck. We both love each other and care for each other. But we are both scared to go back out cause his feelings change and he doesn't want to hurt me again. So what should we do.

RomanceClass.com Advice
If you talked and communicated and were so close, I'm curious why you broke up. Usually people who talk quite a bit work through issues before they cause you to break up. So the question is, what was it that was so serious that you two couldn't work it out?

Whatever it is, obviously it was never resolved. It still sits there right between you two, and his fear is that this issue will still be there if you two date again. So you have to sit down and really TALK about this issue, forwards and backwards, up and down. From all angles. Don't just ignore it and hope that it'll go away. Don't assume that one of you was right and the other one was wrong. All issues have two sides and two faults. Make sure you REALLY get all life out of this issue that was between you two, and talk it completely through, before you start up again. Otherwise it'll always linger there and cause you trouble.
