Yikes, you REFUSED TO DANCE with her? Why?? That's one of the most evil things you can do to a person. Here she went out of her way to come up to you and ask you to dance, and you stalked off. Why would you deliberately hurt someone that you care about, and make a public fool out of her??

People don't go out with people to 'get back at' others. Or in the very rare cases that they do, that's pretty slimy because you're now both trying to hurt your ex AND you're actively using the person you're dating. So I really hope that's not the case with her ...

It sounds like you guys need to take a hard look at what you're doing in your lives. Relationships are about actively caring for the other person, trying to make them happy, and talking with each other to work on that happiness. They do NOT involve publicly snubbing a person, or using people in revenge schemes.
