should I just end it before one of us gets hurt?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Im just starting to talk to this guy that lives far away on the phone, I've never met him or anything before and we dont intend to met for atleast a year. Im really starting to like him but Im not sure how this will work out for us even if we do met. I just dont want to get hurt by the fact that I spend a year talking to him and I met him but I still cant see how our futures could ever come together on a normal basis since he lives so far away. Im 16 and still in highschool and he's 19 with a job. My question is should I continue with this relationship and just see where it goes or should I just end it before one of us gets hurt?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Long distance romances are very difficult for most people to successfully handle.

My advice in your case is to do your dating in your own school where you can hang out and meet guys your own age and who live nearby. You owe it to yourself to give yourself a chance to live a normal life and enjoy some of the best years of your life.

You still have high school and college to go and the chances of this far away guy becoming a healthy part of your life are very slim.

I wish you the very best!
George
