At the dance he wanted to dance, but I hid

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
There's this boy I really like. One time I got asked to the dance by him and I said no. Then at the dance he wanted to dance, but I hid. Could that of hurt his feelings?

I would have my friends ask him if he likes me, and if he would go out with me. He said no.

Now we email eachother and get along. Should I keep being friends with him until he gets to know me?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Would it hurt you if you asked someone to a dance and they said "no" and then hid when you went to ask them to dance? I assume yes.

It's obvious that these feeling are all new to you and that you didn't know how to behave in a situation in which this feeling of attraction was being acted up.

It is only natural that he avoided you afterwards because he was either very hurt, though you didn't like him, or both.

The good think is that you are now emailing. Keep it up and let a friendship develop. Stay at it and be honest with him. If you get embarassed or afraid, tell him you're a little embarrassed or afraid. It'll all be cool.
