he has already done it with numerous women and I can't stand this!

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
My boyfriend and I are very inlove with each other. However, sometimes I get jealous about his past girlfriends and wild party nights he had before we started dating. I am a virgin and I am probaby going to loose it to him, but he has already done it with numerous women and I can't stand this! I wish he had never done anything without me. I've sometimes snapped at him for this but he always tells me that he loves me now, and those experiences are his past.
Please help me; I can't look at it that way!

The jealousy that you're experiencing is one of insecurity and the fear of inadequacy. The girls before you will always appear to you as more sexual, freer, and more attractive, all because you don't know them and can't do anything but build them in your mind as better than you. Of course, this is all silly because he's with -you- now and has chosen you above all those other girls. Still it nags at you. When it does, remind yourself that none of it matters, that you have him now and that you give him what those others couldn't ever do. And you can think of it that he's had these other experiences which makes him a better lover for you. You're not against buying a certified used BMW, are you? Even though it has had other drivers before you? Are you jealous of all the people who sat in that seat before you? Not at all! You just enjoy the ride! So treat him like a used car! ;)
