This is exactly the danger of dating a guy that is older than you - they are at a different stage than you are. He is ready to be a father - i.e. he is almost an adult and if he had to raise a kid, he would be pretty much done with high school. But you're barely in high school if you even are. It is REALLY really important for a parent to have a high school diploma to take care of the kid properly, to earn a good wage and be able to read to their kid and help them with schoolwork. Believe me, NO birth control is 100% effective. There is always the risk of pregnancy. So please wait a few years until you are more done with school before you start to think about sex. Tons of people wait until they are married for sex, for good reason. If you have sex, you can create a child. That shouldn't happen until you are sure you are financially secure and able to support that child. If your boyfriend can't wait, then he's not the guy for you. Tell him to look at all the guys out there who wait for marriage, and who are happy they did, because it was a sign of their respect.
