What do I do?
Visitor's Question from a 41-50 year old Female
I was going out with a man for over a year and never had sexual intercourse. I love him but don't fancy him all the time!i have a jealousy problem what takes over my life i have been to a counciller but she said there is no help for me really! he wants to marry me the way i am how can i fancy him again? he his a good man and to good to loose.he his 51 and i am 47.
Jealousy can certainly interfere with a relationship! As you know, you might want to tame yours because it will only make you both miserable, and it seems that you want to stay with this man. I'm glad to hear you tried counselling, and I hope you stick with it... but try someone new! A counsellor shouldn't tell you that you're unfixable. There's always coping skills that you can learn to use to help you live a happier life. Good counselling works wonders and can help clear out that jealousy. I'm glad to hear this man of yours wants to marry you! Isn't it wonderful? So find the things that make him so special and great and remind yourself of those things every time you start to feel jealous. You both are too good together to let it slip away!
Hope you keep in touch!
