She Says You Too

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
I'm always telling my girlfriend how special she is to me and how much I love her, but when I say that I love her she just says 'you to'. Is it just paranoia or is it just that she doesn't want to be with me in this relationship?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Did you ever see the movie Ghost? In it, the guy always says "ditto". It's just his way of saying he loves her. Love is not about saying a word or not saying a word. It is about day to day actions. There are plenty of people out there who say "love" and do NOT mean it. There are also many people out there who do not say it but show it every day. Actions are far more meaningful than words. Don't ever rely on words to show if someone loves you. See if they act as if they care and respect for you every day.

For example, a woman who is there for you, listens to you, supports you when you're sad, laughs with you when you're happy is far more in love with you than a woman who says "Yes I love you" as she walks out the door to be with her lover. Words are cheap. Actions are what count.
