Another Site Claims Female Friends Won't Date

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
I have read your site, but I found another site that had some information on it that said basically that if you are a guy that you have a 95% chance in being able to date someone you've been friends with and that you're better to walk away and find someone else.

heres a quote from the page:

"I try to WARN guys about this all the time: if you think that there may be even the most remote chance of ever wanting more with a woman that is currently a friend, DO NOT make a friend of her first! Once you do that you're almost assured of never having anything else with that particular woman.

The reasons for this are many, but the most important is that women separate men into two categories: boyfriend material, and "friends". Going from friend to boyfriend is almost impossible as it takes a very large amount of time and great effort - all for about a 5% probability of scoring! Are you really willing to bet on those types of odds? Especially when you consider that it's so much easier to meet other women instead?

In order to affect that change, you're going to have to meet and date other women anyway, so why not just take the easy road and find someone else you like? That would be my choice. "

I just wanted to know how you can consolidate this information with the information on your site... Is it the age of the person that makes the difference? Is your site more geared towards people that want long term relationships? Is the advice from the other site bad? Do you have examples of people that have actually made the transition from friends to boy/girlfriends?

If you could help me out that would be wonderful! thanks

RomanceClass.com Advice
I know a TON of people who went from friend to boyfriend-girlfriend. Look at this other site! All it cares about is "scoring"!! Obviously that site wasn't too interested in actual relationships. Pretty much every successful long term relationship I know of involved people who were friends first and who had that friendship grow into a long term relationship. That's the type of involvement that lasts. The ones who were just hot and heavy date-before-you-know-each-other tend to crash and burn. Sex attraction doesn't last forever.
