Going from On Line to Real Life

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
We were together when we were 15 for 3 1/2 months online and we have never met in person and now we are both gonna be 18 within the next 2 months and we just got back together. He lives in Ohio, me in Arizona and we plan on meeting in about 2-3 months. Can this work out?

RomanceClass.com Advice
I feel very strongly about this issue, because I was in an on line relationship and because many, many people I know have gone through on line relationships. I even took the time to put together a whole page for you on moving from on line to real life -

The short answer is yes, it can work. But it takes a LOT of effort, just like any other relationship. The on line part is great fun, and gets you to know each other. But really it's like the first dates, it's not like the 'full relationship' that you get in real life. So go into the relationship with an open mind, prepared to learn what each other is REALLY like and prepared to work on the relationship.

If you don't build up false expectations, and imagine it'll be "easy" because you already know everything about each other, you have a good chance.

Good luck!
