Asking a Friend Out

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
i have been Friends with this chick for 14 months now and i havent even got in One fight with her in that amout of time. When i first met her, it was through a friend, and we met through Smoking Pot.

at first we didnt hang around much then, about 4 months into the frindship i started talking/visiting her once a day, but i have never stayed there, becuse i live a block away from her, i have went camping with her faimly, her brother is a Really good friend of mine too, but now im starting to see abit more of her, i talk to her on msn 3-5 times a week and visit her 2-4 times a week. i have walked her home at 2:30am, she has asked me to come see her at work when she is closing.

then she invited me to this Weight loss program, becuse i am Overweight, and she was at one time too, when i visit her its usally me her and her brother, i allways sit next ot her, and we allways play fight, she leaves bruises on my Legs from Kicking with Heal of her foot, we have built forts together.

but just recently i found something under her bed which disterbed me, it was a something she wrote, with a few of her friends names on it, Questioning there Friendship 2 her, i want on it, but the note was titled "Why Dosent Anyone wany to get close to me" and it goes on saying how she have never had a real Boyfriend.

I would like to ask her out but i dont know if it will wreck the friendship, and if i do ask her out if she says no will it wreck the friendship????

It sounds like you've done a wonderful job of building up the friendship. So move it along slowly and steadily to dating. There's no risk really if you do this carefully.

Just follow the tips here -

and make sure you hug her hello and goodbye to start with. If you're already doing that, move up to kissing her cheek. Start going to movies with her. Soon you will be "dating" without having to stress her out about officially asking her to.
