Are We Breaking Up?

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
Me and my boyfriend have been going out a month now. And well last night on the phone he kept commenting that he couldn't decide. I was lost. But he was kinda talking to himself. But he told me that he couldn't decide on sumthing, and that he couldn't tell me because that would defeat the purpose. And he also said it was about us. Then he would say things that we never really talk much.

What I got from all this is well, he's gonna break up with me. And now I'm scared that he is, and I dunno what to do. Should I wait and see if he does break up with me and get my heart broken, or break up with him? or what? I juss dunno! Please help me SOON! Before he breaks up with me!!!!!!

Wait, you love this guy but because you don't know what he is feeling you are going to break up with him?? Why not ASK HIM? You are his girlfriend. That means your primary role is to be his best friend. To talk to him. His whole complaint is that you don't talk to him - and here when you know something is bothering him your solutions are to hide and see what he does or to abandon him. You're pretty much proving to him that his worries are completely valid.

You shouldn't be asking other people like me what he is thinking. You should be asking HIM what he is thinking, to his face, and hearing his answers. That is the most important thing you can possibly ever do as a girlfriend.
