she loves me and is not ready but hints to wanting it

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
my ex and i had a toxic relationship, she got abusive and i got controling. she wanted friends and i wanted to recluse. we broke up very bad, it was a violent breakup. though the relationship was very deep and loving it went downhill randomly in a month. she has friends now, she parties, but my co-worker/ ex friend is going after her and she thinks she may have feelings, yet admits she misses me and loves me still. even said if we both did our own thing maybe it would work again. last night we hung out and i admit im still in love with her and she gets offended wen i say she is no longer in lov with me, then she explains y she still is. we drova around and had fun for 3 hours listening to music and talking about the good old days, even spoke about sex. she was close to wanting it and told me i was always good at that. she admitted her confusion and said she is now more confused. i told her i want her back but not yet, id love to get to know her again. she did not reply. all i need to know is whats the next step? i feel we are still ackwardly guarded yet i also see she is in love with me. the missing element with us is here now... so wat next? tank you

You are doing everything just right. You are holding off while getting to know her again, and while she is still confused about what she wants with you. I'd keep on going as you are. Be patient and honest, and see where things lead.
