Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
im 20 and lost my virginity to my long term boyfriend at 18. at this point i feel like he could be the one i want to spend my life with. i waited to lose my virginity to someone i loved and i could trust but i never expected to stay with my first forever. i never expected that i would only ever have sex with one person. i love my boyfriend very much and don't want to break up with him or cheat on him. is it wrong to want to experience others???. i talked to him about it, he tried to be as understanding as possible, and basically gave me permission to explore but we would have to break up until i get it "out of my system". i don't want to break up or want him to think that im going to cheat on him to fulfill my curiosity. how do i deal with this curiosity without losing someone i love???

thank you.

RomanceClass.com Advice
You are going to get a lot of different opinions on this, but I think taking a break and dating others is a perfect solution, since he is willing to wait. It's important to get it out of your system - provided and only provided that you use lots of protection! Be safe in your exploring. It's horrible to not be sure now and end up cheating in the end.

You will probably miss your true love sooner than later, and come back to him very happily, ready to embark on a lifelong commitment.
