Does She Like Me, or is she Just Being Nice?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
My girlfriend and I have been going out for over a month now, but I still can't really tell if she really likes me or is just going out with me because I want to go out with her. She's told me that she does like me but her actions seem to say otherwise. We usually only have time to see each other about once a week or so and have good times, but when I call to talk she doesn't sound like she really feels like talking to me. The last date we had I cooked her dinner and gave her a rose, and she seemed to really like it. THen the last couple of times I've called her room mate said she wasn't feeling well and was asleep, then I left a message on her machine, but she hasn't called. So like I said, I'm trying to figure out if she likes or if I should take these as signs that she's not interested and is just being nice to me.

RomanceClass.com Advice
Well, every person is different. She could just not be comfortable talking on the phone. Lots of people are like that. If she's enjoying your personal visits and not enjoying the phone calls, then focus on what she enjoys. Offer another dinner, find out what else she likes to do and do those things. The more she associates time with you with fun things she enjoys, the better to get through the 'getting to know you' stages.
