Flirting with a Twin

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
I really like this girl and i think she likes me to because she told me her twin sister liked me, I said thats was nasty because her sisters face is a little messed up, she asked "would it be nasty if i liked you" I said no and she turned around and we didn't talk for the rest of the bus ride home ( I was on my way home from high school)

Anyhoo I dont no how to ask her out and i am like the ultimate shy guy it took almost all my courage to say no when she asked me if it would be nasty. well now that im almost positive that she likes me im still scared to ask her out because shes a feshman and im a sophmore and im not good at that sort of thing please help me.

I have to say it's a really, really bad idea to dis someone's sister right to their face just because they aren't a MTV model. How would you like it if someone picked on you just because you were too tall or short or shy or something else? One of the most important things you learn in life is that looks mean *nothing*. Everybody gets old, everybody gets droopy, everybody ages. The only thing that really matters is if someone is kind, gentle and caring. As the saying goes, you can't see anything in the dark, and when the chips are down, having a doll nearby is worthless. Having a friend nearby is more valuable than diamonds.

If you really want to date this other twin then I would try to undo that mistake and become friends with the twin. The most important thing to possibly have with a person is honesty, trust and caring. If you can build up that friendship then dating will become wonderful. If you just dive after a "date me!" encounter then you are looking for disaster. I have suggestions on moving from friends to dates here -

but you really need to take a few steps backwards and realize just what is important in a girl.
