Bleeding and Virginity

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
What happens after you loose your virginity? I understand that sometimes you bleed after you did it, but what happens when you bleed for 4 days? Is that something one should take serious or is that normal?

RomanceClass.com Advice
When you are a virgin you often have a thin membrane over your vagina to keep dirt out. Sort of like an eyelid covering an eye. So all that happens during that first sex incident is the membrane is ripped and no longer covers the vagina. Many girls have this happen long before sex by other activities like horseback riding or bike riding or so on. So some girls bleed during the first sex, some don't.

If you did have that membrane rip during sex, again, it's just a thin tear like if you ripped your fingernail a bit. It should heal up pretty quickly. It definitely shouldn't bleed for four days straight. I would talk to your doctor and have that looked at.
