my girlfriend broke up because her friend loves me as well...

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I donno what the */% is going on, but i have had a relationship with my girlfriend in mexico. I have met her in italy almost 2 years ago and we have had a long distance relationship for about a year. I have visited her last year as well, but the last few month where really hard for both of us, although we have always been best friends at least! I always loved her always and during the last few months, but she had some religious issues and trouble with the distance. This summer i went to mexico to learn spanish though and do everything to make our relationship work again! We always promised to be good friends and till now that has always worked as well, but i really wanted more and she knows that. Thats why she decided two weeks ago that she wanted to try again because she also still had a lot of feelings for me... However, because of her feelings and religion she always made different decisions so two days later she told me she made a mistake... She loves me and wanted to do everything with me, she even wanted to have our own time and aaaallll the stuff, but at that moment she told me that one of her friends loved me as well... She told me she wanted to break up with me and asked me to be just good friends again, which i hate to be of course... That friend of her just ruined my chance for romance and i dont know what to do, because my girlfriend doesnt want to hurt her friend and wants to be loyal to her. I think however that her girlfriend is not being loyal to both of us and she is the whole problem of anything, but still i try to not to talk about it with her because my girlfriend doesnt want me to... After one day my girlfriend however called me and she asked me in the park to kiss her and the same night she called me back for even more... Could someone please tell me what on earth i should do to get her back? I love her so much and i never stopped scince i knew her!

Thanks!

RomanceClass.com Advice
Her girlfriend is the cause of all this trouble. She shouldn't have told your girlfriend that she loved you because it only caused problems.

Tell your girlfriend you want to talk to her friend so that you can clear up some misunderstandings. Tell her girlfriend that you are deeply in love with your girlfriend and to back off on her feelings for you. Explain that she is causing a rift in you relationship and threatening to ruin it.

Make sure your girlfriend realizes that you love her deeply and that you have no interest in her friend. And, in fact, that you dislike her friend for causing problems.

It's time to increase your professions of love such as flowers, candy, dates, nice dinners, etc. Everyone loves to be pampered.

Good luck! George
