New Beginnings?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
Me and my ex broke up when I moved away because he didn't want to try long distance. I was heart broken but there was nothing I could do, he made his choice.

6 Months on and I have just met someone new, he is lovely and we get on really well, we have loads in common and I'm really happy. We have only been together a few weeks. He lives in a city about 2 hrs from me though.

Me and my ex have stayed in touch and we have made it clear that we miss each other but he doesn't know about my new guy. Last night he told me he still loves me and today he told me he has been thinking about it for ages, has missed me too much and is going to move to my new city to be with me.

I don't know what to do. I still love my ex but he broke my heart. I also really like the new guy, despite it only being a few weeks I can see this turning serious if I let it. Do I try and start fresh with the new guy and forget about the ex or should I give things with my ex another go, especially if he moves cities to be with me?

RomanceClass.com Advice
This is a close call.

Since you still love your ex, it is tempting to start up with him again and be together when he moves to your city. On the other hand, he broke your heart.

This new guy lives two hours away which is not good, and you've only been together for a few weeks.

My advice is to go for your ex. You know you love each other and he will be in your own city. The new guy is not a sure thing and lives distantly.

Good luck! George
