he has touble with the past

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
I have been dating my boyfriend for a year and a half and I love him very very dearly. We dated for two weeks and then broke up for two weeks and have been together ever since. During the two weeks we were broken up I kissed another boy and didn't tell him for a few months, I also talked to my ex boyfriend. I am fully aware that it wasn't right, thats not what I need help with, I'm not in denial I know i was wrong. BUT he gave me a second chance but he's taking it back. He has become a bit controlling by making me feel guilty. He gets mad at me for everything and is always holding a grudge against me and doesn't trust me. This was over a year ago, and he's making it an issue now. I would have understood then, but it's soo hard to deal with now. He can't just "get over it" and I can't ask him to. Do you have any advice on how he can get past this? I need help or I need out, and I don't want out...

RomanceClass.com Advice
You will need to simply tell him to knock it off.

The time for anger and jealousy is WAY over. If he brings it up, just tell him it was a minor infraction, it is history, and you don't want to talk about it any more.

Let him also know that you consider it controlling behavior and he needs to work on it. He really should be over this by now.

Good luck! George
