A Girlfriend who is a Year Younger

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
Im a freshman in high school and im just wondering if its ok to have a girlfriend 1 year younger than me. Im worried if my friends would make fun or something even though she is really really nice and we seem to enjoy each others company a lot.

RomanceClass.com Advice
A year difference is extremely common, many seniors date freshmen with no problem at all. In the end, it should NEVER matter what your friends think, if you care for someone. Unless they're trying to tell you that she's abusing you or something! But other than that,if your friends tell you she's too ugly or short or tall or young or old, it's time to get new friends. True friends should want you to be happy, and should want you to be with someone you enjoy being with. Things like looks and height and age are *really* meaningless in a relationship.

If you've found someone that is really nice and that you enjoy being with, spend time with her!! Many people spend years finding someone that they are that happy with!
