we're close friends, and i want to be more

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Male
i'm fifteen and i met this girl about eight or nine months ago, and she's the coolest person that i've ever met.we're like best friends and we talk to eachother all the time. in the last month i've grown feelings for her. she went on vacation and called me everyday she was on it, so i figured that i mean something to her to, but i don't know if we're just good friends or what. but i told her how i felt, and how special she is to me, and how much i like her, and she responded by telling me the same thing. she said that she was afraid, and i finished her sentence, by saying, of our friendship? she said yeah, exactly

but the next day when i talked to her she acted like the previous night (when we told eachother how much we meant to eachother) hadn't happened. how should i go about asking her out? or should i at all, because by asking her out i might give her a signal that i don't care of our friendship? i don't want our friendship to drastically change, but a guy she's gone out with before she's still good friends with. what should i do?

thanks much

RomanceClass.com Advice
Ask her out as a friend and tell her you want to "test dating" to make sure it doens't affect your friendhip.

She still is friends with an ex so that is a good sign the even if you broke up you could still be friends.

There are always tensions about losing friendship but it is good to test the waters and see what happens.

Good luck! George
